1) Do = Does ( referring to the title )
2) This is OLDDDDDD it talks about BC going to be released.

@ Zinger : notice how all the GW posts are positive and WoW have bad and good ( like it should be )

Like Miral said i think we should wait for gw2 to really talk about GW vs WoW, sadly i think we will be voting for WoW :'(

In an attempt to outplay the OP's game, I've decided to reciprocate and post the same thread on the official World of Warcraft forums to see the response. It's quite different than this thread, at the least...

Yes he did. See Zinger commented on how hugely biased the guy was?

I'm a Warlock for the same reason I'm a Necromancer; I enjoy debuffing, I don't wan to be FOTM.

I tried wow and got pretty far when it started, What killed it for me was the total lack of creativity in builds ( Basically 4 cookie cutters for each class, and if you werent one of those, you were a noob. Hands down. No argument ) And the crappy PvP.

Same reason I'm a warrior, killin' people, but I get a lot more people pissed at me in WoW .

@Zinger. I like it how the WoW players actually attacked you, when you are trying to stand up for WoW. Brilliant player base!

Anyway, I noticed how they mentioned the population on being the better game. And I quote Srsly "Let me get this straight: 3x as many people PAY to play warcraft, but somehow the other one is better?" But how many players do you PLAY with, or have a chance to play with. My grip with WoW is that the player base of the US is broken up to around 100+ servers.

example.
I meet person X and find out that he\she plays WoW. I ask, what server he\she plays on. Person X says he\she players on Arthas, while I play on Blackrock. Oh, we cant play together. Conversation DEAD.

i think the point was more of desirability than population.

I read the link zinger put up and found it quite interesting that about half the people that responded acknowledged that GW is a good game, but has a different focus than Wow. They specifically cited GW's endgame PvP as a highpoint, but they couldn't handle the 'lack of character development and endgame content'. (paraphrased for those that didn't read it)

In the end it comes down to player preference, so polls from different sites will always show different results. As GW and WoW are technically in different mmo categories, its nothing to really worry about (besides Wow had a headstart). I would like to see the day when GW/GW2 surpasses Wow in pop., but it all depends on how 2 turns out. Can't wait to see what surprises are in store.
I'm trying very hard not to make my comment a comparison of GW and Wow, and we really don't need to have another GW vsWow thread...here's to staying on topic (crosses fingers).

But that's just my two cents

that thread is interesting because I think it really mirrors the truth of the situation. People on the WoW thread agree that GW is a fun game, at the start; but once you get past the majority of its content and beat the game, etc. the only thing thats still interesting is the PvP. Unfortunately, with the preponderance of metagame builds, pvp is now also becoming boring and there's really nothing much to do anymore but grind for titles in the game.

You realize this one of the worst articles ever written, right? They put up random points without any connection...

...and even use wrong "facts": GW has nowhere near 3 million players. Not even 1 million.
